Bottle Gourd Sweet Curry
Ingredients
Bottle gourd or sorakaya - 2 cups ( chopped)
Oil- 2 tsp
Red chillies- 2
Urad dal split- 1 tsp
Mustard- 1 tsp
Jeera - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric- 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Salt - to taste
Sugar - 2 tsp
Method
- Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard, urad dal, jeera, broken red chillies and then curry leaves.
- Add chopped bottle gourd pieces, salt and turmeric. Cover with a lid and cook.
- Keep stirring and when it becomes soft, add sugar.
- Cook for 2 more minutes and switch off the stove.
