Bonda

It's been a long time since I made a note of my recipes. Finally made it!!! I made this Bonda today as an evening snack. This is also called Mangalore Bonda in some parts. 



Mysore Bonda

Ingredients

  • Maida or refined flour - 1/2 cup
  • Onion - 1 finely chopped
  • Green chilies - 2(adjust according to taste)
  • Salt - to taste
  • Curd (preferably sour)
  •  Oil - for deep frying 
  • Baking soda - a pinch

Method

  1. Take maida, onions, chillies, salt in a bowl. Add curd and mix well. Batter should Not be too thick or too thin, should be like bajji batter.
  2. Add baking soda and mix well.
  3. Heat oil. Drop the batter as small balls and deep fry.
  4. Serve hot with any spicy chutney. 

Notes

Prepare the Bonda immediately after mixing the soda.
