It's been a long time since I made a note of my recipes. Finally made it!!! I made this Bonda today as an evening snack. This is also called Mangalore Bonda in some parts.
Mysore Bonda
Ingredients
- Maida or refined flour - 1/2 cup
- Onion - 1 finely chopped
- Green chilies - 2(adjust according to taste)
- Salt - to taste
- Curd (preferably sour)
- Oil - for deep frying
- Baking soda - a pinch
Method
- Take maida, onions, chillies, salt in a bowl. Add curd and mix well. Batter should Not be too thick or too thin, should be like bajji batter.
- Add baking soda and mix well.
- Heat oil. Drop the batter as small balls and deep fry.
- Serve hot with any spicy chutney.
Notes
Prepare the Bonda immediately after mixing the soda.
